DERWYDD ACCOYO NUSTA

Nusta is a beautiful, white, 7/8 Accoyo maiden whom we are reluctantly offering at the 2011 Breeders Edge Auction. As you will see, she is one of our best females. Her 2011 fiber stats (14 mo. of age) are as follows: MFD 18.9/ SD 4.4/ CV 23%/ > 30 microns 1.6%/ Med fibers 9.9%/ SF 18.7/ MC 40.8/ SDC 25.4/ CF 98.4%

Her sire, El Nino's Accoyo Manchu, is a spectacularly pre-potent 8-time Champion. Amanda VandenBosch evaluated him in 2006 and said:

"Overall, this male is excellent. He is a strong male with excellent substance of bone. He has a triangular head shape with a broad muzzle and a good distance from eyes to lower face. He is true to type through and through, and exhibits fineness, density and uniformity throughout his blanket. A true herdsire prospect."

His owners, Derwydd Alpacas and Accoyo America, are so pleased with him, they are considering closing him to outside breedings. Nusta's Dam, Derwydd's Pinache's Peruvian Fista, is a 3/4 Accoyo who ranks third in Derwydd's breeding program based on EPD data. Fista is an Accoyo Starr Kahn daughter, a rare Accoyo bloodline. If we had not purchased Fista recently, we likely would not be offering Nusta to you.

Nusta comes with a complimentary breeding to our 10-time Champion/13-time blue ribbon winner Ringo Cloud or A.L. Paca's Whirlpool Galaxy, both co-owned with Doug and Denise Caldwell. Ringo won the Fawn Male Color Championship at the 2011 AOBA show judged by Mike Safley! Whirlpool has a fantastic white fleece which scored an outstanding 88 points at the 2011 AOBA National Fleece show and has a formidable show career as well. If you want to breed for color . . . Ringo is the man! If you prefer advanced white, pick Whirlpool.
